About us

Different States.
One Self.

Clothing created for every version of yourself.

I used to chase the latest trends, too. Whenever something new came along, I always wanted to try it. But eventually, I realized that something that felt exciting just a few months ago could quickly be labeled “outdated.” The clothes hadn’t changed. What changed was the standard of what was considered trendy. After seeing this happen over and over again, I started to realize: there’s nothing wrong with loving new things, but there’s no need to constantly chase whatever comes next.

Clothing that becomes part of life.

That became the attitude behind “EMO” at EMONAROD. We pay attention to trends and draw inspiration from what’s new, but we don’t want to simply copy what’s popular. We want to create things through our own perspective. Trends can be part of the design, but they don’t have to define what the design ultimately becomes. We’re open to trying new things, while still keeping our own point of view.

I’ve always liked using the moon as a way to describe this state. NARO comes from the Latin word for “moon.” The moon looks different every day, but no one thinks it has become a different moon. People are the same. We change, and we try new things. The style we like today might not be the same tomorrow. But those changes don’t make us a different person.
